The Caelestis
Pronunciation: (Kay-Les-Tis) Plural: Caelesti (Kay-Les-Tee)

The Caelesti, beautiful winged horses that seem to rise from the dust of hundreds of stars, are severely more laid back than the Tiri. A Caelestis foal is more bold than a Tiri calf and tends to get in a lot more mischief. They are playful, stubborn, and no matter the Caelesti, seem to have a fondness for being little tricksters. Some, of course, more than others. Adults may mature, but somewhere in their hearts is the love of jokes and mischief as well. Both adults and younglings possess wings, and can fly high into the sky - though, obviously, the smaller winged foals are unable to fly without practice - and even then not very high at all. The Caelesti are meant to bring insight on their companion's lives as the species are wonderful diviners. They are good at reading the stars - both as a map to physically find their way to places, and spiritual guidance. As with all the species, the Caelesti's abilities are determined by their companion and the strength of the Caelestis' will. These creatures will be much harder to obtain than the Suns - Why? Well, Khalindra, our beautiful gypsy's domain is of the stars and she's very hesitant to give them out to just anyone. They are also reserved for those who need guidance, or are destined for great things. They are the companion of diviners, empaths, and prophets.

Shifters:

These Astrals have no real form, shifting between the three forms of Tiri, Caelestis & Pan'i since the magic that binds them is confused. They don't have set times on which they shift, they shift at will. The ability is granted through a rare gem, given to help stabilize the otherwise unstable magic.

Uni-Caelesti

For years, Eisra worked. Even within her world, she had access to the celestial spirits that her siblings had let free. Essences were caught, bottled, and stored - and she experimented. The sun, she could not hold. It burned too bright against her darkness. The moon, she could not manipulate - for it was too pure for her to handle. But the stars - the stars were born from chaos. They were hers.

The noble Caelesti born was dismantled, piece by piece, and put together in new order. Wings were stripped, leaving it flightless. The horn, majestic, was removed, leaving a bare forehead. There was something beautiful about desecrating what she and her siblings had created. Like they had desecrated her. Eisra thought it oddly symbolic. Chaos desecrating what Chaos had formed.

Though as she manipulated this creature in her world, the wings of the Astrals already in existence faded into stardust, leaving them to plummet toward the earth while they were in flight. It was a meteor shower, lights streaking the sky of Svatura as the blessed stars fell down to earth.

As they hit the earth, explosions of light dotted the world, their energies dismantling and reassembling into something new altogether. Unable to stop, the Twelve watched as their companions morphed, forming in three different ways.

The first to step from the mists, days after the explosions began, was the Uni-Caelesti. Their wings had disappeared, leaving what appeared to be a graceful, long bodied horse - ordinary except for the horn that protruded from its forehead, glittering in midst of settling stardust.

The Uni-Caelestis are rare - Born from Eisra's Chaos and banished to An'Kahol by the Great Twelve - A world with no magic. When Nova, the first, appeared, she told Khalindra that "An'kahol is where magic goes to die, but instead lives on forever through written and spoken word." - They have the ability to heal with their horns, given the gift by the goddess Gen to bring goodness to a world where they failed to believe in magic. While Svatura saw them as corrupted, Gen saw them as the pureness that came from Eisra's corruption - and gave them purpose. Few have been able to travel from An'Kahol back into Svatura, and those who have are met with hesitance - they are not written about in stories, and the world is unsure how to take them; much like they are unsure how to take the world. It is rare for a Uni-Caelesti to bond with anyone, or even to make themselves known to others. They are proud creatures, not as bold as their Caelesti cousins - and have a way of talking in circles and giving prolific responses that never make sense.

Corrupted Caelesti

In the months since the Dracnar's invasion and Eisra's retreat, Svatura has begun to subtly change. The left over chaotic energy has sunk into the earth itself, poisoning its surface and several water sources. The continued influence of those Dracnar still loyal to Eisra's cause has been making their dwelling areas more poisonous than others. Through this chaos, the peaceful Tiya has become confused, firing off synopsis and creating life in ways that only the Starkeeper is ever supposed to do. The Caelestis, being the first to cause Eisra's fall have been the first to fall victim in return. The creatures have begun losing their wings as their soul becomes corrupted. Corrupted Astrals do not need to have someone to bond to, as they are bonded to Chaos itself. There is no room for their soul to bond to a companion and as such they are destined to be alone. They hold no love for anyone, and the only loyalty they show is to the Dracnar who brought them into being - and that's using the term loyalty losely. They are darkness incarnate - unwilling and unable to muster the desire to care about anything but themselves. If they mate, they mate in violence or only to protect their blood line. They will not mate with any other than another Corrupted - seeing the others as weak and pathetic. They are stronger, faster, and more vicious - and currently, though they have not attacked anyone, it is said that only the Dragon Tiri can hold up to them in battle.
